Has Latin America been discussed? Because there was NO WAY Jordan's popularity came anywhere near close to Tyson's in that region. My fam is from Guatemala and a Tyson fight was a major event,everyone was either at home or in somebody else's house trying to watch the Tyson fight. Boxing is second only to soccer in central and south america, tyson was must see TV.

i have worked as a sport columnist on occasions, im in Greece..
But i just speak based on my experiences, what i've seen and what i've heard, just my opinion

Rugby is bigger in europe . . Outside of a few euro countries (greece, turkey,spain), bball is a c-rate sport man. . .

The euro boxers have huge followings - check any half decent british boxer - selling out arena's easily . . Then the like of the Klitshkos, Sturm, Kessler etc filling stadiums . . .
