They don't think its close. That's the point of the thread. Greenberg and Schlereth thinks its pretty obvious while Golic didnt make an argument otherwise before agreeing with them.

Well that's just silly...

And I would say the same if the statement was about Griffin, Wilson or Morris...

It's a tight 4 man race imo..I wouldn't be shocked if there were Co-ROY's

Cacs on cacs on cacs

I knew somebody was gonna bring up race, even though golic picked peterson as the MVP over that chump manning.

RG3 is playing in a system created just for him, that boy a gimmick QB that will be exposed next year, after a whole off season of film study. :tomshady:

None of them mentioned anything about stats. I found that funny. All three agreed with each other but no one said anything about what actually happened on the field. They know what's up. :myman:

Colts are by far the most overrated team this season....and I love Luck as a player...but he's not the rookie of the year.

Agreed..

They have the easiest schedule in the league by far and have actually been outscored by their opponents...

They have pretty much been doing what the Eagles did for their first 3 wins of the year.. To Luck's credit he has been a huge part of all their 4th quarter comebacks against garbage teams...

So next year if Griffin struggles, I guess that's when it will be okay to use stats again in player comparisons :wtb:

Confirmation Bias : Both of them picked Luck to be #1 pick before the draft too.

yup. Thats all it is.

Those in the media thought Luck would win OROY before the season started, shoot even before his last season at Stanford. They will ignore every bit of evidence and still ride for Andrew Luck. Just like they all believed he would win the heisman last year and clung to that despite RG3 having an all time season.

I remember they were using the QBR bullshyt saying Luck was better because of that. When RG3 passed him there they started citing the wins. RG3 is now NFC BEast division champ, so they are clinging to the turnaround the Colts have had, despite them having a very easy schedule and the Redskins turn around also being remarkable (remember, no playoff appearance since 2007, no division title since 1999, and they were 3-6).

I can accept The Fiasco being the OROY, but I cannot accept Andrew Luck. He has been the 5th best offensive rookie this season. Not even in the discussion.

On one hand, if you take the Colt's record a face value (which most basic analysts do), you have to acknowledge that Luck's play drastically improved the team and that his particular 4th quarter play was invaluable. That could get him rookie of the year compared to RGIII and Wilson, who had better pieces around them

The problem is that most advanced statistics say that the Colts 11-5 record is basically a fluke aided by a weak schedule. In most normal years that actual would have a losing record. Over the year the Colts have allowed more points than they have scored. The team will likely miss the playoffs next year while Seattle and Washington are primed for multi year runs. Disregard the win loss record and Wilson/RGIII clearly had better years. Smart CACs like Aaron Schatz and Bill Barnwell realize this

The scheme argument is BS too
what they tryin to say is that RG3 is not "traditional QB" which is why scheme is much more responsible for his success than RG3 actually being a good QB. :lolbron:

You got to understand the code words when these cacs are trying to make their points. Like all O.C don't have schemes.

Whenever guys like Luck have a good year, Credit goes to Luck.

Whenever guys like RG3 have a good year: "well the Shanahans are doing a great job with RG3. They put a great scheme for him which helped him be successful. "

So they didn't mention that Luck has been targeting a future Hall of Famer all year while Wilson and Griffin are playing with a bunch of #2 's and #3 's?

Did they bring up the higher interception numbers and lack of schedule strength?

Did they mention that Wilson and Griffin have both rushed for twice as many yards as Luck?

All coaches(well great ones)design schemes and a system tailored to the strengths of their players. Luck isn't free styling out there In Indy, he's just been an innaccurate passer

No..

He's a coach on the field, he's so cerebral out there. He is the most NFL ready prospect in the history of the draft.. You see all the check downs and adjustments he makes at the line of scrimmage?..His IQ is off the charts..He's an offensive coordinator with a helmet..Plus his coach had cancer so he took over as defacto defensive coordinator for the majority of the year..Class, smarts, brains, high character.. First to practice and last to leave.. Slept with an NFL playbook since the 5th grade...He started doing workouts with the receivers and tight ends 10 minutes after the draft, while he still had his suit and hard bottoms on... His 18 interceptions are from him being agressive and loving the game so much..Did I mention he was smart? Because that's the key.. He doesn't depend on his athleticism. Don't forget that he's been playing in a pro style offense since Pee Wee league.

I told ya'll I am tired of Luck for this very reason.

why? the whole season yall have done just the opposite with RGIII. it's not just a cac thing, media head still want to see the prototypical QB and value that type of play above all...if these read options stick, and mobile QB's prove to be more than one 2-3 season phenomenons, then he thought process might change, but if anything, Luck has personally been in the media less, he's not :smugfavre:'ing it out there
