Chernoff knows he wants to work and no one else wants to deal with his ass and he won't do a podcast. I'm sure they'll pay him fairly but it's not like he's got a lot of negotiation power anymore

on my tunein app WFAN station changed for the very 1st time today with (( the afternoon drive with Carlin, Maggie and Bart ))
it continued to say (( the mike francesa show )) up until today - gotta wonder if this a coincidence or not

1- Their ratings are still garbage with Rosenberg and got crushed in the ny market by Francesa who talks mostly baseball

2- you still seem to be struggling with the difference between LOCAL and NATIONAL

the last ratings francesca was 2nd and Kay show moved up to being tied at 3rd (so what da hell u talking bout)

i said dem 2 shows are national
but there nyc rating is very excellent (if they cover less then 10% of MLB ; how could there nyc numbers do well ?)

First Take and Undisputed are not comparable to a radio show. Those are debate shows on national television. You’re comparing to a local radio station designed to appeal to the NY metro area. Apples and oranges. As for Peter Rosenberg, it doesn’t matter what he likes. When Mad Dog was on all he wanted to do was talk tennis. It doesn’t matter what their personal preferences are. It matters if they’re knowledgeable on what people want to talk about. That’s something First Take and Undisputed don’t have to deal with because they debate each other, not you.

Most shows on the FAN you can talk about pretty much whatever you want, but more often than not, callers gravitate to certain things. It is what it is. A host on the fan can’t get away with not knowing baseball because that’s what people will call about more often than not.

Joe and Evan talked about that and Joe was like “I wouldn’t have taken the time slot and there no amount of money that woulda changed my mind because I like my time slot.” Evan agreed.

they use to be excited for this saying shyt like ... it means the can stay up later to watch west coast games ; wake up late, less hassle traveling to the station thru non rush hours ; getting better guest at that mid day timeframe etc...

I'm happy. As much as he can be a dikkhead he is still the most entertaining listen on sports radio period. Highly knowledgeable in most sports and he doesn't have some forced schtick like 98% of the sports talk show personalities doing it. He's the GOAT...whether nikkas like it or not. Good to see him back for what should be a VERY interesting year for the Yanks, Mets, Giants and even the Jets.

By the way...only thing I like about that Carlin trio is Bart's unapologetic real nikka views on racism in sports and his insider accounts as a former top athlete.

Doggie was right on pretty much everything though. In New York it is CRITICAL for a radio show to know what they are talking about when it comes to Baseball. Those 3 really don't know much about Baseball and it will take YEARS to get a ton of knowledge on that sport on a level that smart New York fans will expect when tuning into the fan.

Are you forgetting that Joe is 64, in shyt health and damn near ready to walk away himself? Joe said a week ago him leaving early means he can go golfing more. Them being extended an hour was more or less a compromise. Joe basically golfs, watches the Mets and goes to sleep.

Also, Evan does the Saturday show solo at the same time. The schedule allows him to go to Mets and Nets games (even if it’s a little late)
