he held that shyt tight like we were gonna be blown away when the time was right...said he had big things going on, and some people thought he was gonna change the podcast game. he kept talking about how others were doing it all wrong.

I think he did. Everything he hinted at was his own podcast network but he probably had no idea what the hell it would take to do it and when he found out he probably deaded it.
He also probably realized that he's not great at off the cuff his strength is mocking callers and local sports
Podcasting isn't live nor local so he wouldn't be able to take as many callers and Mikes national sports knowledge is very thin outside of baseball.
A national audience isn't gonna want to listen to Mike talk about baseball all year round

I think CMB sucks, but I hated when Jay Leno left only to then weasel his way back to his old spot. Mike better not do it to them no matter how wack they are (the funny thing is that if they just deaded Carlin, the show would be listenable)

It didn't help any that Conan was funny, CMB suck. Imo Bart is absolutely atrocious, Carlin's voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard, and Maggie knows her stuff but she has about as much personality as a door knob.

If you listen to Mikes nfl show and then listen to or follow guys who actually follow and work for the league you realize how limited Mikes nfl knowledge is these days
Most of his connects and coaches who he knew are long gone
