eh...

hes good with what hes doing.
cause mark my MUTHAfukkIN words, if they were to make his ass like he is throughout his history as a comic book character thrown onto the small/big screen yall would have a problem with that shyt too.

:noreha:

When smileys are used properly :dead:

I could easily see people being upset at the stereotypes and c00nery.

A little goofy as a comic book character
But he had personality
He was more like Dame Dash than a quiet nikka
Ok. I see that.
But most people (like alotta people been saying on here) knew him early on as this silly Blaxploitation character early on.
Hes a square pretty much now. But a good brother.
And i appreciate that.
It adds more substance to him.
Same with Falcon.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
My main problem with Colter (this is going to be a weird criticism) is that his enunciation is jarring.

He speaks almost too clearly. No :mjpls:. Lol. Like NO ONE speaks that clearly so it's something that immediately jumps out at you, and it constantly takes me out of the immersion of whatever scene he is in -- because people don't really talk like that. I can't think of another actor that's white, black, Asian, whatever, that speaks like him.

Henry Simmons would have been the best pick to play Luke Cage, but they got him slumming on Agents of SHIELD.

With that said the version of Luke Cage on the Netflix show is supposed to be very different from the one one in the comics. The Netflix version is a former cop with a military background and he's not even from Harlem. For the version they're going for on Netflix Mike Colter is a good pick.
