I don't see Cottos resume/legacy as all that

Never beat any great champs, never been lineal champ, never unified, losses to average fighters
Lets add in that most of Cottos championships were vacant when he won them. So he didn't even beat an actual champ in many cases. Cotto isn't even the second best PR of all time. Probably not even third or fourth. It might be hard to put him in 5th. Hes just the most recent. In no order you have Tito, Gomez, Benitez, Camacho, Rosario, etc.

My Top 3 PR fighters would be Carlos Ortiz, Wilfredo Gomez, and Tito Trinidad. That's not changing anytime soon. Then you have to add in other fighters like Hector Camacho, Wilfred Benitez, Juan Laporte, Wilfredo Vasquez, etc.
Top 10 definitely, but not Top 5. Not sure that's attainable at this point in his career

Self taught pal. And this was before google. Ring & KO were read monthly. I just don't care for false statements being thrown around as facts.
Tito only lost to fighters above his natural weight class. Dude was on a mission to fight Roy Jones and Tito was at 147. That's like Floyd fighting top tier competition while moving up to fight Andre Ward. Let that sink in. Tito was 40-0 before he went to middleweight.
