They made it pop again and they also made it unique. People jack their style all the time. And to be honest it's hot as fukk, I love it. But all good things...Hope they can innovate.

Side note...How do y'all remember who is who if they don't wear glasses?

Three Six is a real unique situation.

I've noticed a disconnect between serious hip hop fans outside of the south who were cognizant in the 90s, when Three Six wasn't a major factor at all outside of the South and Midwest, and kids nowadays. I feel like history is being revised to give Three Six props that they didn't have in real time. In real time, outside of their region, nobody even knew who they were until 97. And even in 97 they were just another group. They didn't really break through until 2005. That's why they called that album most known unknowns.

If you go on the internet though...all these kids think Mystic Styles from 95 is an all time classic. :prodigylol:
And Lord Infamous has Rakim level props. :prodigylol:
Ive noticed the same thing. I used to see there ads in the Source but never heard the music becuz it just wasn't played here. We can say it was a regional thing but I knew cats who bumped Spice 1 and MC Eiht in high school

The sole reason it's a game changer now is it's ok for everyone to sound the same....nobody would intentionally sound like another rapper back then. shyt was damn near unheard of actually.

Fred.
Stfu cac don't act like everybody wasn't biting Das-EFX back then

Broke through on a mainstream level. They were getting props way before that, but things were getting subdued because they had so many member fallouts. After every album, somebody was gone.

They look closely related :yeshrug:

And they rap is really ensemble.

And lol at the cac shyt. Me and my brother look different but if we wear shades, we get mixed up. They look like pieces of Voltron.

Cause they're family :mjlol:

They really got they own style wit it though and do y'all really think these young nikkas grew up listening to Three six, Bone, and Twista. I can't see them being able to reference a rapper earlier than Jeezy and Gucci.
