Is Firaxis working on anything new?

The leads left to start another company and a lot of the staff left with him or got laid off also, so its not looking good

Was holding out for a sequel to this since that ending is kinda... open to say the least

Open the world up more and have you choose between different Marvel teams to interact with

Avengers
X-Men
Fantastic Four
Midnight Suns
Spider-Family
Defenders

The bigger issue is just how unstable the gaming industry has become over the last decade. Whole teams/studios are being wiped out off of one bad game or slow sales.

the marvel license surely didn’t help. A lot of these licensed games feel like the big nail in the coffin for developers these days, its not gonna be worth it to pay disney/marvel/lucas films those incredibly high licensing cost anymore since the games don’t guarantee people even being mildly interested in them anymore.

people don’t talk about that part. just like how a lot of studios took too long to put out certain live service games there’s also studios who are getting murdered under the licensing fee’s they thought would pay for itself 5-6 years ago

jake simply didn't want to do it anymore

and it makes sense - xcom2/wotc were basically perfect and became a tentpole for the entire genre lol. if you and your team want to do something else after knocking it out of the park like that, you deserve to be able to

if they wanted to keep making similar games he'd have been poached long before leaving

I knew the Avengers game was doomed when people expected the characters to look like the MCU actors. I actually liked the game and was looking forward to all the post launch DLC. Both of these games could've had a big resurgence if the support had continued.
