Honestly not sure about this kind of game. but yall are hyping me up enough that i might try.
I think the closest i've played to this is something like tactics ogre back in the day,.

Yeah, its not really like tactics ogre aside from being turn based…its kind of hard to describe what its like, I’ve heard people say its similar to slay the spire, but this is fully 3d with environmental effects.

The gameplay loop is like persona/fire emblem where you gotta do friend activities and upgrades at your hub area, the battles are kinda like Into The Breach where it feels sort of like a puzzle of who to take out first and how to clear the stage the fastest way for better rewards.

I will say the animations and graphics (in combat) are the nicest I’ve seen for this genre. Very flashy and satisfying

Also, coming from playing Marvel Snap non-stop im enjoying the cards, they aren’t as limiting as you would think

Yeah its not terrible if you could stomach it in FE, especially if you like the marvel lore

Your boy Skill Up was saying is not about the fact it's similar to Persona as to why that part is bad, but it's because it's super boring in its content of that specifically and how bad the marvel characterizations are per each character. He highlighted a part where Blade was being shy of Captain Marvel and and invited her to a book club and Captain America somehow forces his way into said club, which Blade acted funny due to Steve being a third wheel and Steve takes this as Blade being afraid to be a friend to him. It was pretty bad.

So far the only thing bugging me is Tony Stark. He’s like a non-stop quip machine, its like we get it he’s a jokester but they dialed it up way too high in this. Its not even witty like the movies its just one punchline after another.

So far Blade and the other people have been close to what I expect of them, captain marvel is on her try hard dyke shyt

I do like that its more comic focused and less MCU focused. I might go through this entire game just using the Midnight Suns and ignore the other marvel characters

Yeah that shyt is exactly why I said these fools turn into Degrassi characters when they’re back at The Abbey, superhero prestige be damned

We’ll see how I feel after more play time, but if you expect to have the face during the social portions it’s whatever. The tone is very-light hearted in that portion of the game compared to the standard comic book fare of the main story.

This game wanna be a T-rated JRPG so bad

Lowkey tho if they went full bioware with it with some more mature writing and romance they might be on to something

I see. Honestly, I’ll probably be able to rock with it. I was mostly concerned about the gameplay due to the card elements. But literally everyone is raving about the combat. And I’ve been playing a lot of Marvel Snap lately which has honestly softened my hate of card games a considerable amount. Man wish there was like a 3 hr trial or some shyt. I miss game demos
