Fakin Da Funk was hilarious to me as a child. Rewatched it recently and the movie seemed ridiculous lol.

Jason's Lyric is the king of all mid Black movies from the 90's
People raved about Soul Food but meh.
Hangin' with the Homeboys--didn't see it
Anything Martin was in with the exception of Bad Boys, Thin Line, and Boomerang, I never even bothered to watch.
I just feel like they pulled out all the rejected Richard Pryor and Jimmie "JJ" Walker scripts from the 70's and filmed them with Martin.

I was about to say Thin Line. Watched it about a week ago. Lynn Whitfield is great in it, but I don't buy Martin as a player type, and all through the movie they're constantly talking about how many girls he has, it broke my suspense of disbelief. Hes better in the schlubby type roles.

Booty Call was way better than I thought it was gonna be.
I assumed it was gonna be broadstroked over the top slapstick trash with a healthy dose of awkward slang and stereotypes thrown in.
I wasn't completely wrong but it far exceeded my expectations.
