Because gaming within MS wasn't seen as important but more so a "gimmick market". Another market to just conquer. This was shown when they were merged with the Windows division.

I thought they came out with a revolutionary system that would be always online and because of that each Xbox would be connected via the cloud and thus games like crackdown 3 would have been available much sooner. All games would have looked and played better, and besides things like Gamepass we would have had game share, game tradeins, Xbox version of Netflix with original content. Kinect integration so everything can be accessed with your voice.

While the fear of the nsa and losing access to your games is the sole scare tactical reasoning for the failure of the Xbox one. That dream was just delayed until next gen

If they do everything they did this gen as far as system updates, network and just over all improvement after improvements. And drop 1st party hits...yeah they'll be problem.

But it's going to be hard, because they are american base.


They really need to have the most easy system to develop and get power out of. That way japanese developers want to create on Xbox and then port to ps4 because...why not.
