Literally everyone in the industry making these same moves.

From nintendo to Sony, Square, Tencent, and everybody in between.

But for whatever reason when microsoft does it everybody collectively goes nuts.

3 pages.

19 in here tho :hubie:
:jbhmm: gee I wonder why the most profitable company in the world is getting the most scrutiny after going on a 100 billion dollar buying spree while touting buying those companies is what's best for the industry and gamers

Once again, stop it.

You have been in here harping about how Sony made a mistake focusing on AAA games, and now M$ is gearing up to do the exact same thing.
Doesn't even make sense, I've been complaining about Sony locking up 3rd games restricting them from growth and sales, while telling Stan's that these triple A games all around are barely making the money it cost to make them if they lucky.

You sit here and tell us Gamepass is the future, when in reality the whole day and date release on gamepass is coming back to bite them.

Where did you get this info from?

You sit here and tell us gamepass is doing great because of the "players played" metric, when in reality SALES matter.

Game pass is a monthly sale, player metrics being high means that monthly sale is in good standing.

This topic is different because we don't have xbots in here (aside from yourself) trying to tell us that whatever Sony is doing is wrong and M$ has the right idea.

Feel free to move the goalposts however you like, but this whole "I told you so, I'm always right" schtick you and a few others are running with is done.
You clearly didn't look at any of the threads because it's mostly Sony Stan's being understanding and reasonable as to why those studios were being closed down.

I don’t need to because I know your game. How hard were you riding for Game Pass which is why we are here?
Again what does gamepass have to do with these studios shutting down?

The thing people said was not sustainable. That’s the point. The major acquisitions of two giant publishers, and an unsustainable business model.
Is gamepass ending or something?

You damn well know the point isn’t that studios close and people get laid off. That’s part of the business. It’s that Xbots cheered it on while everyone else said it’s not sustainable. People said what’s going to happen when they have to recoup all that major spending they did. With a subscription model that is not profitable for anyone.
Again where is this information coming from

Even if it wasn’t for the current financial situation of everyone, it still wouldn’t be sustainable which is the entire point. But we know what you’re going to do. Keep doing so as Xbox is dead in the ground, and they’re pimping out all the IP they now own, and can use forever.

You guys were dead ass wrong and you know it:mjlol:

So gamepass isn't sustainable according to y'all and digital and physical sales of games aren't sustainable according to Sony.

Sounds like it's a bigger problem than just "told ya this wasn't gonna work"

Especially while it's still working. :mjlol:

Tragic.

When people were speaking about the anti-competitive nature of the acquisition and the dangers of unchecked capitalism, it is shyt like this.

In capitalism, as people believe it to be, the best product should rise to the top. That is what is good for consumers. By buying up the competition, you can start to limit what you provide consumers because you no longer have to compete.

It is fortunate that they tripped over and showed their ass right at the start.

What competitor did Microsoft buy in video games though? Activision was not a competitor nor was Bethesda. If anything they were partner companies. The one that doesn't have to compete is Microsoft's competitor in the market here not Microsoft.

They also haven't tripped over. The companies they bought have improved their performance. The hardware issues they've had weren't a result of the acquisitions and existed long before they were made.

A single player cartoony rhythm action game was never gonna be a huge seller.

Goes to show how out of touch so called critics are to the games people actually like to buy and play:manny:
Xbots really are cold. :wow:

It was all good a couple months ago, HFR was listed with Starfield and Forza as must-play exclusives...

Now you damn near saying Rip Bozo :damn:

What's working? Gamepass? Its growth has declined massively, and you have a former PR executive at Microsoft explaining why nowadays it hurts rather than helps smaller games.
Nobody no damn PR executive.:mjlol:

That dude is a forum stan like one of you he just gets paid for it.

No one in the industry including microsoft has ever expected subscriptions to take over as the dominant way people access games.

This is why yalls stan argument is broken. You are contradicting your own nonsense.

On one hand gamepass is such a failure it doesn’t have enough users to make money.

On the other hand its all gamepass fault some games have underperformed.

Those two things directly contradict each other.

So i’ll ask you like the last guy.

If these problems are so unique to Microsoft, gamepass and phil spencer, then why has the entire industry drawn the same conclusions and made the same exact moves for the same exact reasons???

Make it make sense?? :jbhmm:

I didn’t list anything.

Again, you are getting the swirling narratives mixed up in your head.

None of the stuff people type on these websites or forums is real. It’s all for kicks and clicks :manny:

You missing the forest for the trees. Xbots, as a collective, were praising HFR. Maybe you didn't fukk with the game like that for some reason, it doesn't matter.

There's no downplaying this though.

No one is crying over whoever made Redfail getting bushed. They had their shot and they blew it.

Tango was trending upwards tho. What's the culture MS trying to build with this brand?
