The normal Xbox Series X is unavailable on Walmart.com, Bestbuy.com, and Amazon.com If you take a forced bundle you can get it with Forza at some of those places.
That has not been supply constrained in over a year.

If people don’t want to spend an extra 60 dollars on your console because you’re packing it in with an undesirable game thats just another bad judgement call on Microsofts behalf.
It would be the equivalent of sony packing Returnal in with new ps5’s and then wondering why no one wants to buy them

They're being slick with their wording.
They didn't actually say the poor sales were down to supply issues although that is what people will infer. They attributed the high sales last year to increased supply. If they're asked to defend that statement, they'll argue that they had the edge on their closest competitor who was struggling with supply issues.
