It definitely is insane but after looking into it I learned he basically founded the current iteration of the company. And has been there for 30 years. So probably not too out of line with what others would receive in similar positions. Still makes me make sick though.

Just looking at previous history, Sony's highest purchase as a company is 3.4 billion for Columbia Pictures. Microsoft sized purchases isn't their M.O. because they aren't Microsoft. The difference in money means that they can't get busy in the same way.
