This whole ordeal is hilarious. Ninty and Sony makes games. Xbox had no problem like this during the 360 era and even the og Xbox era.

Now the excuses is they need to buy huge publishers to make themselves even steven.

The second excuse is Sony and Ninty been in the game longer.. but this didn't matter from 2001 to at least 2013 when the Xbox was strong as hell.
They wanted to chase Netflix and create a subscription service
Now they have the back hole that is Gamepass that needs new games constantly
Of course games don't pop put of thin air :mjlol:
Imagine Netflix without constant new shyt to watch
This is a problem of their own making and MS being MS thinks buying up the industry is the solution :manny:

The irony of all of this is that it reminds me of the movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley", which Sony and Microsoft battling over the cloud/online service that was introduced by these sad blokes:

It’s pretty wild that with all the noise this deal made something as trivial as cloud gaming ended it.

People were delusional to think one of the biggest tech companies in the world were just going to up and buy the biggest video game publisher a year after buying the 4th bigggest game publisher with some lousy napkin deals.

Disney had to shed a huge amount of assets to get the fox merger passed through. Microsoft thought putting COD on nintendo was gonna do it

They let Disney buy Fox though, 71 billion, no problems.

:martin:

Difference between a booming gaming industry versus a struggling Hollywood industry :francis:

  • Cord cutting murdered Hollywood more ways than one
  • No one was truly prepared for Covid except gaming
  • Layers to the deal (stockholders, techland, etc)

Looking at the deal, as much as it sounds good from the outside. The inside is going to be a mess and a half. Trust, nobody will notice the difference of Disney copping Fox, but they damn for sure going to know the difference with Blizzard giving MS the keys to Diablo and WOW. Don't get me started with Call of Duty exclusives and etc.

They just gotta make games. Thats it

Yall complicating it
Yeah idk what he's talking about with any of that, sounds completely like the fanboy babble he's accusing y'all of

You can't just close shop on the UK without major damage to your company :heh:

The UK is making Apple as we speak open up iOS for third party apps, Apple is re-writing code so the feature is only available in the UK. Why? Because that's where the money is in EU

UK is the most profitable country across EU, nobody is avoiding doing business there if they want to have business at all

MS can repeal all they want, they're going to have to turn focus on smaller companies to gobble up

Try to continue the deal and just remove consideration from UK and watch the UK remove your products what you gonna do then :dead:
