Pardon my judgement, and its worth
I'm trying to be reflective, don't mean to be overt with it
All this shyt connected no cursive, it's more coercive than simple calligraphy
Figure me, a whole different nikka from what I was meant to be
A whole different mental, it was stencil, that was incidental
This was way before followers when I was following
Wasn't until a bit later when I started flowering
And I needed pollination not your validation

'Til they tell you, you ain't shining that's the provocation

Yall nikkas in here wildin.

I think because Mick is so elite in every phase, yall expectations be too high.

This project is dope and thorough all the way through. This is a great piece of music.

I was actually afraid Mick would fukk up this Album by trying too hard in the name of being artsy, smart, and creative on some Lupe shyt. But he didn't, he kept it dope and smooth musically.

Mick so naturally talented and lyrically elite, his shyt will always be creative without him even trying.

Breh... as dope as the album is, it still stands... it's even better with Bruce Banner and What Am I To Do on it

I can see why he didn't add Bruce Banner. That's a 1 off type of song. Mick just rapping and talking shyt. Song don't fit the album at all. Now "What Am I To Do" on the other hand, should definitely be there. Song is piff.

As far as the other stuff. The only thing I'd want Mick to do is maybe try out some other production and see if he can vibe and create to it.

But I prefer for dude to just keep shyt simple in his music. Sometimes extra talented & smart nikkas get lost in their artistry or quest to do something "new" or "different" and end up creating trash.

Making music should be an organic process, cats that try to force messages, agendas, & topics sometimes end up delivering a garbage product.

He was talkin' his shyt all over this album and flexin' tho.

Album would have kicked off perfectly with Bruce Banner IMO. Probably pulled it cause of the Kendrick line

I'm feeling this one wayyyyy more than The Healing Component. Only a few tracks on there, Daniel's Bloom, Spread Love, etc.

This one felt special for me from the jump. Stress Fractures is probably the best track on here, then going into Gwendolyn's Apprehension :wow: shyt had me like 'okay, he improved already on this shyt :gladbron: Plain Clothes :lawd: Consensual Seduction :damn: it kinda tapered down after that for me. Especially the outro with BadBadNotGood. That shyt was wayyyyy too slow smh

I've only listened twice and both times while running, but I've caught the theme on social media/fake personalities so far... Not sure what else is there. I gotta really sit and listen. Which I wanna do. Which is a good thing. It's one of the better releases this year for me.

Stress Fracture isn't the best song. Mikahl Anthony's singing brings that song down. Everything else about it is dope tho

How long did he even sing? It wasn't more than a couple of seconds. What's the best song according to you?
The hook, the bridge, the lyrics, and the beat are dope on that song but the vocals from Anthony just sound bad. Not enough for me to skip the song, but yeah...

The best song to me? Hard choice and it rotates with each listen, but I'm feeling Plain Clothes the most at this moment.

But Reginald, Understood, Ghost, Barcelona, U Turn... all stuck in my head. I agree with the last song being too slow, wasn't feeling that as the album closer either.

Straight riding music, his stuff also always reminds me of Isiah Rashard's music for some reason who I wish dropped this year but I digress. This album is hard and one of the best this year for me.

Makes me wish I owned a fly car like a low rider or Cadillac or some shyt :russ: v The lyrics are sharp, the production smooth as silk and I can see myself playing this back for month at least. I might have to cop this off itunes in fact.

Some things I noticed:

Grace and Mercy's Flow reminded me of this...

Dot Dot Dit Dit Dot Dot Dash is
from Gil Scott Heron, Gil Scott Heron also has an album titled Pieces Of A Man too

Interesting, what if he reordered it and put the Connie Bailey Rae song with the skit at the end as the closer instead :jbhmm:
