Mick's music post-The Waters really is like jazz. It's mood dependent, as in the mood you're in can determine whether you really like it or can't stand it and you can have that feeling for the same project at different times.
Also you can tell he has a powerful voice but he either chooses to be or can't help but be monotonous. Lyrically he's fire, but he rarely varies his tone or pitch to put emphasis on words or certain bars, he just raises his voice to do it.
I like Mick a lot, and I think I like this album as a whole, but like somebody said on the earlier pages, I thought he was next next but he's just kinda receded into the "consistent but never reaching high level" artist.

The shyt about mick that pisses me off is that dude has EVERYTHING needed to be a star. There's no doubt in my mind he could reach kendrick and cole level if he played his cards right. He got the look(no homo), the voice, the charisma, the writing ability. He can spit some smooth shyt on one track, then black the fukk out on the next. He got the whole arsenal.
But honestly, mick seems like a real self aware dude. You can tell by his work that he's got true knowledge of self. So I have to assume he just doesn't give a fukk about being a big rap star. He knows he could easily drop some generic trap shyt and get some more fame. But I think he just wants to keep living the simple life and making the music he wants

......Had to bump it up to an 8/10 strictly off his performance alone. The fact that dude can bring life to some of these simplistic beats let's you know how much potential he got. Get this dude some A1 production and he can drop a classic.

Yeah, lyrically this album is elite status. Dude has quotables on every song frfr.
And Ghost is dope as hell, loved how he tied various themes within that song off of that word... "ghost"
The play on being lowkey and off the radar, getting at ghost writing, just observing the fukkery from a covert position. Song is
