Shyt is cool but just like most Mick releases....production kinda

I thought this would be the album where he showed out but its just another solid release

2nd playthrough for me... while this is a good release, a few missteps prevent it from being amazing.

The production through the first 5 songs are hit or miss for me. Stress Fracture is cool, but the dude he had featured on it fukks up the vibe of that song. Mick's bars and his bridge are flames, beat is cool too, but the vocals from dude singing just brings it down. Reminded me of Cole with Kill Edwards feature on KOD, just not needed.

Once you get to Barcelona, the rest is far more consistent musically.

All in all, the sequencing and omission of some songs on this and some of the production hampers the project, but even through that it's still a good album, but not sure if it's top 5 of the year like I predicted

Yup, same sentiment from me. Grace and Mercy is where it picks up and is pretty dope after that. The middle of this album is the climax. Bruce Banner would have been a perfect intro or first song to set the tone for this joint

I swear sequencing an album is a lost art. A lot of how a project is received depends on how you structure the music.

He's been leading up to this project putting out aggressive tracks with hard lyrics and beats, so when I put this on and there's an opening skit with a lighter tone than what he's been dropping over the last year, it threw me off. It starts off mellow then it transitions to what I was expecting.

Lupe's album was the same way, dope lyrics and plenty of cold songs, but the way he kicked off the album was jarring. Mick ain't rappin' in Spanish on this shyt, but between the intro and the bad feature in the next song, the project stumbles out the gates a lil bit, but overall I fukk with it.

Bruh... I just checked.

It's listed as a single and available on Apple Music, Youtube/Google Play, Spotify and Tidal. So yeah, this nikka just didn't put it on the album. Which makes absolutely no sense.
