Not going to happen...they would end up abandoning their core voting block in the black community.

Yeah good point.

I really don't care about the black community honestly. I grew up outside of it and have no desire of ever living there. I said I agree with her. I've been saying the same shyt.

The black community is used to describe black people as a whole, not a specific community.

I never aspired to be a rapper. I always got straight A's. Real talk I'm not offended by when they do it because none of the shyt they have to say ever applies to me.

of course you will. But becasue this dude fits into the stereotype that many in this thread is trying to convey about black folks, then the spot light is on him

How many of these dudes will be in the next thread praising Cheif Keef and Gucci Mane, but in another thread, they then rationalize, openly or in their heads, why black folks "gotta do better," using the same actions promoted by said artist as "typical" black behavior that keeps black folks down:stopitslime:

:heh:

so we all gonna pretend that society is not obsessed with celebrity, royalty, bad boys, and powerful people too?
Black community is the subset of society, who like many other sub sets of society, are products of conditioning. But because we all are conditioned to view differently the same action done by individuals of a different race, tax bracket, age, education, celebrity, and sex, the black community will always be viewed as the sole reason for whatever plight it is suffering through

They are but Im talking about us, at the end of the day I could give 2 fukks about bill and tom

She is addressing it but I guess you rather her do it in the middle of the hood I assume? Why don't you worry more about the message than the venue. They are the most powerful people in the world bruh, their platform is different than other people.

I don't understand what you mean by the last part.

And maybe if she varied the venue a bit. Speaking with the future leaders (the university students) about what they have to do to address this problem and then speaking to the actual people whose problem this is (those hood people) then I could see there being a point to it.

She can go wherever the hell she wants on her better the country tour but if you don't get out and actually speak to the people you want to help then what difference have you made?

I agree with Michelle on this, but perhaps she needs to do as you said :leon:

Everytime one of them speaks, they're addressing men. I've long since left my black woman bashing days behind (they were short anyway), but it's time Michelle and Barack speak to them instead of empathizing with em like Michelle with her ole ugly "Being a single mother and all" ass. :stopitslime:

Which is the start of a whole other discussion. The 'that's not me, that's those dumb nikkas over there' attitude. But my point was, if you're black in any way, then you're a part of the black community. Edit: And you will be judged as such.

So going to Chicago and speaking on gun violence isn't enough? The fukk do ya'll want from the Obama's? :wtf: They are the most powerful fukking couple in the WOLRD but still make time to address issues in the black community. Bet you don't like Al Sharpton, someone who has the time to strictly focus on our community.
