He said in his autobiography that he felt ignored by the industry and he was legit hurt by that. It's funny that this thread came up because I've been listening to Off The Wall the past few days, and I think that album is just a little better than Thriller.

Mike in many ways is still a mystery and it's a shame because too many people just go by what the media says(lies) about him.
Mike had a deeper voice but one of the reasons he spoke softly varies..some say it was to exercise his voice, it helped his singing voice by speaking softly...and of course being shy.
