hes a hypocrite for those texts, but his original point still stands. they try to emphasize "camel" when they say her name

i have seen white people go out of their way to mispronounce 'exotic' words like "tor-till-uhh" (tortilla) "chee-a-batter" (ciabatta) "takk-oh" (taco) and so on. they do it on purpose to "other" the <noun> theyre describing, to illustrate unfamiliarity. its really insidious of them

Still, if his idea was to show “graciousness” there’s a way to do it without the intent being misrepresented. He went a little overboard trying to show love if that’s the truth
