DROGAS Wave just came out tho.
Bâstardizing our struggle (I assume you're Black) to use as a vessel for his ego to prey on weak, impressionable minds; splashing in water that's the depth of a puddle, and acting like it's as deep as the ocean, is most certainly mythology indeed.

I don't think he meant that literally. I think he meant there isn't any in the mainstream that Hollywood would get behind.

Even if he did, can you blame him for not knowing about black mythology in a white dominated society?

Cut bruh some slack.

I think so too...the breh was fukking Killmonger and made a marvel movie.

Marvel. The comicbook medium should be overflowing with ideas and African dynasties and gods and folklore but it isn't. Certain writers have given lip service to African deities but it's mostly Greek and norse mythos etc...

I get the examples everyone is saying and I read a lot of that shyt as a youngun, and I'd hope MBJ just wants some fresh tales and a chance to get this shyt on the big screen :yeshrug:.

Somebody needs to be an advocate to get it out there is all.

For a considerable amount of time in this country's history it was a crime for black people to know how to read, right and get the same quality of education white people had. Our literary genres were considered niche or not marketable for long time too.
