So when is that opt out date? This summer bout to get ugly and im torn between my fav player and my fav team. I hate the way wade acting. Its very bron like and its probably hitting a nerve with riles especially since it seems like wade is siding wit bron.

Even if wade gets his money who is to say he wont come back with a worse attitude because he locked in most likely with a no trade clause at that. If he fires his agent and gets rich paul i might vomit

Bruh I've been souring on Wade ever since he started that part-time basketball player shyt a few years ago. Lowkey I think that's why Bron said fukk it and bounced. Dude was playing 1 game a week and chillin on the bench in skinny pants and church shoes like "bron got this:smugfavre:"

then he wonders why they don't want to give him $20 mill a season.

main reason lakers gave kobe his big extension was because of his rep of an Ironman who was willing to play thru anything. I don't like the nikka but he doesnt like missing games, period. I can't say the same for Wade.

If he was able to suit up 70+ times a year do you think Riley would even hesitate to give him what he wants?

He's definitely worth more here than anywhere else but the Kobe contract cripples this team in the long term. Takes them out of the running next summer. I highly doubt they started by offering under ten when he made sixteen just last year. If anything I'm guessing that's a bluff. Same as 2008 when Ray Lewis hit the market the Ravens paid more I'm sure than anyone else would have. Just handle it professionally and I got faith they'll do right by him. They didn't need to offer bosh THAT much last summer because that's an issue right now. At least they aren't throwing another one of those at dragon. Lots of guys left to pay and this still leave the issue of wing defense, speed, and three point shooting.

He's had faith they'd do right by him and look at how they're handling it. Wade is getting these insulting offers and Riley is trying to beg him to take another paycut so they can have hopes of bringing another max level player in Durant plus get Whiteside while Wade is STILL left with crumbs.

Again, what Wade has done and given up for the franchise, he deserves better. I don't see why he should get screwed so every other member of squad can be rolling in the dough while Wade gets the short end...again.

Yeah that maintenance program in 2013-14 really looks bad in retrospect. Was like what the rockets had Yao Ming on after he broke his foot several times and this was just after a bone bruise which can happen to anyone and only heals off rest. I want to see that 2005-11 type hunger again. Being healthy scratches for rest reasons early in a season was just a bad look. Are his knees that bad?

They gotta give a good deal no doubt. I don't disagree. It's simply a matter of if they want to contend AND have him on the team, they have to find some middle ground that both sides can agree on.

fukk anybody taking Riley's side on this, when it's all fueled by his egomaniacal desire to have enough $ to afford to make a sales pitch to KD in a year. This isn't some Kobe, 'not overpaying aging players' stuff.

And it's stupid to think the lowball offer isn't true, because if there was a fair offer, Wade wouldn't be out here complaining. That's never been his MO.They're clearly asking him to sacrifice too much when he's given up a lot.

Now he's just trying to leverage what he can, find out his true market value, get that from the team, or move on. Nothing wrong with that, even it makes fans feel uncomfortable. Heat fans need to quit acting like Mike Ryan's bytchass. Wade has given up way too much for this fanbase to be mad at him for this type of shyt.

All he's gotta do is say "I want to know my value". That's what happened with Ray Lewis after 2008. No game of chicken was played. He tested it and found out what it was and the Ravens paid him his worth. No need to act like that. Wade should be paid well yes, but fair or unfair Riley also has to plan for the future. It'll be sweet if 3 is there for parade number 4, but the team will need him at a reasonable rate. Too many holes on the roster that need to be filled right now.

Watched the clips play this spring against the Spurs and rockets. At this age I don't think Barnes is worth much especially since he usually only stays a season and doesn't give you much. Young legs are needed.

going by what we will have to offer, most likely the MMLE(about 3.5 million) he might in the ball park of what they can afford as well as what someone is willing to take. guys like Danny or Gerald Green are going to command much more

Belinelli or Gerald Green if we must sign a FA.
If they're not there just play Zoran and Ennis at the wings off the bench.

naw you can't depend on Zoran or Ennis being enough OR ready for those roles, you gotta get a proven vet for insurance. give the young guys a chance BUT don't be empty handed if they aren't ready

Why does he have to do that? He's negotiating. That's between him and the team and there's almost nothing he shouldn't do to ensure he gets paid what he wants. Fans should understand that and quit crying about HOW he's doing it when they're only mad that he's actually doing it, no matter how it's done.

And the roster problems are Riley's fault. He's not planning for the future. He isn't valuing the draft enough for that to be so. And if Wade is gone, unless Riley strikes gold with the 10th pick, and/or signs KD, the future looks iffy until he steps down. He doesn't have a young core and he isn't building one. So what he's doing isn't planning for the future. It's planning for a shot at KD.

Ya'll gotta stop this nonsense. Again, the only reason Wade isnt already locked in to a contract making 20 mil next year is because of his loyalty to his friend. Now they want Riley to pay the price. If Wade was out there giving it his all every night, not sitting out 20 games, we aren't even having a discussion right now.

I'd rather roll with Ennis/rookie
