no I'm asking you what proof you have of what you are saying. like I know when reporters talk about McRoberts they bring up his passing skills, etc. what I'm saying is I didn't see where he was so special even in the limited games he played for us. I'd much rather a pay a quality backup Shooting Guard 5/6 million a year than him. and come on with the 42% from 3, did he even take 20 of them?
:patrice:

Well, I spoke to my tarot card lady and she said he would be a valuable asset.
:rudy:

what qualifies as proof if you don't care about stats or qualified opinions?:dahell:
be a valuable asset. what else is there? numbers show he can pass and stretch the floor. People in the organization agree too.

yeah those 2 assits per game really show he's a great passer. or was that 10 PER that shows he such a good asset. Man I watched this cat play(when he did) he didn't bring much besides injuries and excuses

He started coming around before he got injured

if we are being honest a healthy McRoberts might have more value to this team than Beasley. I was never feeling the idea of him starting alongside Bosh but with the emergence of Whiteside he's a great guy to have off the bench.

he was averaging over 4 assists last season,
how many power forwards in the league that are available can do that?

@Primetime21 I will admit, his very last game was his best one of the year, which was the Suns game(same one he got hurt in). that game you posted we got blown out in. We will see. it's gonna be interesting what roster decisions they make. and yeah I am bais towards Beasley over McRoberts :manny:

@Captain_Crunch dream scenario for the 2015-2016 season

1. Assuming Hezonja isn't available, take Stanley Johnson or Myles Turner at 10, prefably Stan.
2. If we don't draft Stan, sign a shooter for the MLE. If we do draft Stan, don't sign anyone and play the youngins.
3. Trade or cut Chalmers; let Beasley walk, and have Haslem be Juwan Howard(12th man).
4. Go into training camp, having Bazz and Tyler Johnson compete for the backup PG.
5. Once the PG competion is settled, roll with a 4-5 man rotation, where everyone gets at least 10mpg and consistent playing time.

Rotation if we draft Stan
Dragic/Shabazz or Tyler
Wade/Ennis
Deng/Stan
Bosh/McBob
Whiteside/Birdman

Rotation if we draft Turner
Dragic/Shabazz or Tyler
Wade/Shooter
Deng/Ennis
Bosh/McBob
Whiteside/Turner

Throw Beasley to the bushes. We must close that chapter of our history for good.

If we can get value in a trade for McRoberts then fine, trade him. If not, keep him and see how it goes. He's a good young player who fits our culture (hard worker, will defend, tough nose) and brings a lot to the table (passing, shooting, etc). I view him as our eventual UD/Birdman replacement when these 2 are done.

Ennis needs to get his head out of his ass on defense. Until he understands that without playing D his coaching staff won't play him he's just gonna be lost on the bench.

Napier needs to improve his scoring and finishing at the rim. Kid has sick handles and can be a very good playmaker for us but needs to keep defenses honest. His lack of size is a serious issue but he can make up for it.

Breh, he was injured for pretty much the whole season.

Wait, what? He's been stated to be very strong and very quick. He struggles with contact and finishing but he's been stated to be a capable three point shooter who will only improve and he's 19 years old.

He's very athletic. He's not ungodly explosive but he's definitely a good NBA athlete.

Offensive polish can be taught, just like finishing. Hell, look at Jimmy Butler who could only shoot 3s and draw fouls until this year. The dude will absolutely flourish with an NBA trainers and helpers, especially with his ethic.

And, a big thing is that he might be able to replace what Deng does for us on a much cheaper contract that can allow us to make a move at a reliable 3 and D two guard to backup Wade.

Championships
all of napiers issues are because of lack of size

I dont see those issues going away

he can grind in the league at 6'1,winning two national collegiate chips is nothing to sneeze at. he just needs time to develop and gain confidence. some mentoring from the vets would help, and support from the former video tape room manager.

A.I. 6'0

I. Thomas -Celtics 6'1

I Thomas - Pistons 6'1

J. Stockton 6'1

Bob Cousy 6'1

C.P. 6'0

Nate Archibald 6'1
He is the only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and assists in the same season.

That's a list of hall of famers, all time great. If Napier had that kind of potential that would be great. But I doubt it

Napier gonna be alright, had a 6 game stretch early last season where he was averaging 12 points per game before being sent to the d-league. Most of his struggles last season can be attributed to an undersized rookie getting adjusted to the nba game, not a void in talent. I expect him to benefit from a more uptempo offense this season where all of his talents will be on display.

Only thing I'd change is to keep charmers until we have a backup guard who is actually better at something then he is. Right now he still scores and plays d better than Napier and Tyler. And neither one of them make up for it in any other aspect of the game that I've seen so far. Obviously we're banking on the, having a higher ceiling but until they start to realize it I would keep charmers. Unless we can package him up in deal for something more valuable. But I doubt spo would get rid of him just to let some guys who are barely out the d league get more burn.
