No one has him projected as high as 10 yet. They have him going in the 12-15 range. That's because he's an inch shorter than they thought(6'4.5"), he's the youngest player in the draft, and he's not an explosive athlete. Klay had the same issues, but he came into the league 3 years older than Booker will. That's 3 extra years to develop him at the NBA level. And he's a pure shooter and a good defender.

I think he's one of those guys that'll move up draft board after he works out for teams, like Elfrid Payton last year.

But Stanley Johnson is only 4 months older, 40 lbs heavier, half an inch taller, has a wingspan 3 inches longer, and could be a very good defender in the league right away. He was forced into the draft a year early, and probably would've been a top 5 pick next year. So he could be a steal at 10. He's just more of a 3 and D guy that could become an elite perimeter defender.

So it'll come down to now vs. the future and I'd expect Riley to think now. But Devin Booker could be a useful shooter right away and potentially could be the future of the franchise down the line...

He was getting absolutely cooked against Wisconsin. The gameplan was to iso whoever Booker was guarding.

No mention of Mario Hezonja? Stan van and Riley been scouting dude..

The Pistons; Charlotte, and Denver lack players with star potential and need wings.
He's the best wing in the draft and can be an All-Star level player, if those teams don't take
him, the Knicks might. :francis:

I dont see anything impressive about him so far
Then again we have the 10th pick so it's not like we have that many options:manny:

Breh, dude plays a lot like Jimmy Butler. He's strong, likes to draw contact, can post up, and can score in a variety of ways.

Things like decision making and finishing can be helped out. Look at how Butler and Kawhi exploded

seems to be between Johnson, Obre, Booker, Deeker, and Kaminsky.

I said so far, didnt I?

My thing is i dont like his footwork much. Look at the vid and see how he drives when he's going to the basket. Look at both his feet as he's in the air. Dude looks like Bosh when he drives to the basket. All awkward and sh!t but Bosh is 6'10" so he can get away with it.

People that have a knack for scoring at the rim tend to have better control at take off from early on. You cant always teach that. Dude looks like he'd be a good Luol Deng/Eddie Jones type slasher at best. Not the type that can create his own shot at will. Hopefully he has a good jumpshot to make up for it but i didnt see such highlight so....

i hope they don't get kaminsky. i mean as long as we got Mcroberts, Bosh, Whiteside, and Birman Healthy were pretty good with the bigman rotation.
Kaminsky is talented but we already got bosh and mcroberts who share a similar skill set. where we're weak right now is on the perimeter. A guard or small forward who can score is all we need.

Again this is me talking as someone who is clueless when it comes to college players since i dont watch any college sports

Looking at th scouting vids on Oubre and Johnson I honestly dont see why Johnson is rated higher than Oubre. Based on the 3 vids ive seen of both players (2 on Johnson and 1 on Oubre by same scout) I'd pick Oubre in a heartbeat. Only downside to him right now is he's frail and will need to grow into his body whereas Johnsons body seems like a grown ass man and NBA ready.

Again this is an ignorant man's point of view :whoa:

mcbob is another year older and coming off injury ..and a potential trade piece. Birdman older...bosh injury and older...I don't think it would be a bad pick
