Well he didn't seem like he had problems making 152 with floyd, so I don't think he was draining hard when he fought trout. He was a solid 154er and he has now outgrown the division.
I am interested to see if he is able to carry his power up from 154 (which wasn't 1 punch knockout power) to 160 though.

This fight to me is about how good is JCCjr really? Especially when motivated. He has the physical advantages. I give him a decent chance. I am also shamefully rooting for him. He isnt the better fighter thats for sure, but I dont see them on different levels. If JCCjr can mix in good boxing (he has some skills) with brawling/bullying he can win. He cant just do one though. He cant just box or just brawl.

If you've seen the JCCjr/Andy Lee fight, it kinda gives a blueprint to what Chavez can do to win this fight. Canelo in the superior boxing talent, but his fighting in spurts habit can really hurt him against this guy. The whole aura of The Chavez name, and what it means to Mexico boxing gives this fight a highten sense of pressure, Canelo has never dealt with.
