secondly the cdn dollar was weak as hell, and it was only dumb ass michael heisley why the grizz left

montreal language barrier, calgary cacville. Vancouver is dripping $$, have a nba ready arena, one of th best cities to live in, close to the states, 3 hour plane ride to LA, those van/portland/seattle battles

What do you mean wrong? Those are the actual figures. And Calgary is 40% non-white. The cacville argument went out the window when cities like Seattle and Portland showed they cared for basketball and Calgary doesn't even fit the criteria with more diversity than both.

Vancouver's currently doesn't support its only sports franchise anywhere near as well as the other cities. Y'all can get over this faux fascination with Vancouver or BC. They don't give a fukk about sports.

Plus I don't think players would be opposed to playing there compared to Mexico City. I also think the NBA really wants that Asian market.

Also there could be a good rivalry between Vancouver and Toronto.

Vancouver never had a chance. NBA teams screwed both the Raptors and Grizzlies by not letting them have a chance at the 1st overall pick because of the Magic's early success with Penny and Shaq. Raptors survived because of Vince Carter. Vancouver had horrible management and players like Steve Francis not wanting to play there. Plus Michael Heisley bought the team and lied about keeping them in Vancouver.

Vancouver could be another gateway into the Asian market for the NBA.

They already got China on lock how many more Asian fans do they really need at this point breh:mindblown:

Their fans call everyone fakkits and shine lasers on the field all the time at NFL games, their local governments are notoriously corrupt, the distance would be a logistical nightmare, other cities deserve it more, the refs would be bribed. Soccer in Latin America was notoriously fukked up by cartels, and they still don't have a firm hold on that issue.

All that said, yeah sure why not

There's already an NBA minority owner who is Asian (and assuming the owner dies soon, will eventually own the team). The Pacific Northwest will get another team. Just not right now.

As for DF, I stated that they're gonna have a rough time getting a team. The altitude alone is a big problem. I'm not even worried about the crime and all that. It's gonna be rough also for the same reason why some of y'all still pray to voodoo dolls hoping OKC loses their team: who is to say they'll fill the arena when the team sucks and the play is bad? They go to these games because they're novelties.
