League is too tough. nikkas is too old. Beyond that, the team with the best record hasn't done that well in terms of championships recently so I'm not really sure that's the best goal to have.

Yeah there's no huge advantage to having the best record. People often say that the team with the best record burned itself out during the season but I think it's more that the team that is 63-19 is not significantly better than the teams that are 62-20 and 59-23. A few percentage points is all that separates them and that's not enough to generate a large statistical advantage.

The goal in a season is always to get to the postseason healthy and ready and that usually means taking games less seriously down the stretch.

I'm surprised he didn't say something that was mathematically impossible like 74-12 just to get attention and feed the idea that he's crazy and out of this world. Realistically, the only way they'd have a chance at 73-9 is if everyone was younger and they had a much better small forward.
