In terms of gameplay I feel they fixed a lot of problems from Persona. I liked the story and cast of Persona 5 Royal better.

This game is probably half to 2/3rds the length of Persona 5 Royal and some characters get crammed into the party fairly late game.

In the Persona game it feels like a bunch of friends hanging out. The party in this game don't feel like friends really. They're united in a common goal but they don't really have or build any relationships with each other. Each individual does with the main character but not the other party members.

I hope Atlus fully drops the silent protagonist thing and gives their next protagonist a clearly defined personality. This one isn't totally silent but he only really says the dialog options you're given and there are whole cutscenes where someone like Strohl speaks on his behalf. I want a MC like Van from Kiseki.

Hopefully Persona 6 takes all the fixes to the gameplay and game mechanics and integrates them. The calendar system is far better and more relaxed in this game.

I didn't break the crystals for the final boss and my latest backup save point is 5 hours earlier. This mf on phase 2 is unbeatable at level 77:damn:
:mjlol:Why didn’t you break them? Great way to level up as well as weaken Louis.

More is either Satan or an allusion to Satan just by the way dude is talking and the fact that he's clearly "Alonzo", "the deceiver" with a hat on. Clearly, he's an evil guy. :comeon: Louis is likely his "antichrist"

This or Dragon Age brehs. I got a gift card and I can’t make the call. Which is gonna be on sale first :lupe:

Two completely different games, but I’d say maybe metaphor is a better all around gaming experience but its way longer of a commitment also, whether thats a positive or negative for you

I need to finish it, so my score may change bjt is give it an 8.5/10 for now.

Still need to see how the story wraps up, but it had decent pacing and kept me interested throughout. Some themes and story arcs were surprisingly mature and felt refreshing.

However, like a lot of JRPGs combat wise it tends to wear out its welcome towards the end. Some of these later optional fights become puzzles more so than anything. Kinds takes away from the feeling of going in and surviving/figuring it out on the fly.

I’ll update this score and give it a 9/10

The end game bosses weren’t nearly as puzzle-like as the late game optional ones.

It did sort of drag on in the final dungeons but story wise I was still engaged and very much wanted to see how it all ended.

Louis’s reasoning was kinda weak in the end, but that was okay. Like Basilio said all the more reason to kill em :manny:

Full powered final boss on hard was no joke though :whew:

Even at lvl 81 it took me a few tries after getting down to the wire each time.

Just rolled credits. Loved the gameplay, characters, story, and music. 10/10 for me. Sega has given me 3 of my favorite jrpgs all in one year :wow:
I personally feel it’s Atlus best game.

Similar battle music to FF16 fights in this one. Not as much variety as their past games but Atlus has some of the best overall OSTs imo

Game imo has a great soundtrack but it unfortunately peaks kind of early. you hear almost all the best tracks in the demo. There’s some stuff on the official OST that is hype as hell that Didn’t make the game too

aside from the airship track :banderas:
