MGS 2 would be completely pointless and make no sense without Raiden

Snake > Raiden, but you're right. (And that was probably the whole point that Kojima was going for.)

If they remake MGS2, there should be an unlockable campaign after you beat the game where you play the whole game entirely from Snake's perspective and go through all of Strut 2.

But yeah, a MGS1 remake sounds dope, so long as they update the enemy AI and take their time to redesign all the levels around the abilities from the later games (hanging from ledges, holding up guards, CQC chokeholds/takedowns, first-person aiming, rolling, corner peeking, using empty magazine clips and girlie mags to distract guards, holdups, etc.)

The overall story, bosses, and atmosphere should remain untouched though.

Dope if true but I feel for whoever develops this.

This is one of the most iconic games in history. They gotta come correct if you trynna remake MGS 1

Bluepoint Games or Kojimas studio

exactly.

he works in the game because he is a worse imitation of snake. he represents the player vicariously living action fantasies through snake (because raiden vicariously lived them through his VR training). forcing the player to experience the power fantasy of the tanker section inevitably leads them to be disappointed when they have to play as raiden, who is inexperienced, needs to be told what to do and is constantly being emasculated.

a Snake-Strut 2 campaign would be dooope. i was always mad we didn't get to fully see strut 2 before it got fukked up
