Now yeah.
But the cumbersome controls worked back then, they built up the tension and difficulty. Nowadays you can run away from anything and do almost anything, makes the game easier and less challenging. Same reason why something RE1 was a classic for the tension, or TR was a classic because the platforming was punishing as fukk.

Do ya'll realize Raiden wasn't even talking to actual people during the codecs for a good portion of the game? Let that marinate
The game was genius and creative in what it attempted to pull off.
With that said, MSG3 is the better game of the two but I play MSG2 the most and have an appreciation for what it was.

MGS3.... I couldn't get into. People loved it, and I still dont understand why it doesn't click with me. I guess I just feel like im playing more make up/dress up than anything else. MGS2 was one of the few games that lived up to all the hype it had. I can't think of a game to do that since.
Also MGS1 on ps1 was ground breaking too. It was one of those games that made me love being a gamer, Psycho mantis reading saved files was soo
