Metal Gear Solid 2 is still the best in the series

way ahead of it's time......was originally meant to be the end of the series by Kojima

it's capture of politics, intrigue, cultural mores, society is unmatched

this scene blew my mind in 2001

people like to hate on it because of the switch to Raiden, but the switch made sense to the game... Kojima wanted us to look at Snake, as a legend, from an outside perspective. plus Raiden was originally supposed to be the successor to Snake via the S3 program

I love the original, I love Snake Eater but MGS 2 is the most ambitious in the series

MGS2 is still my most played PS2 game. The story, the characters, the themes. The fact that they saw how culture and the world was changing and fit it into the context of a damn video game that broke the 4th wall
