I'm in the minority that liked 1 and 5 more than 3.
I also think 4 got more hate than it deserved and 2 didn't get enough hate.

You didn't like 2? I thought it was decent, but I didn't LOVE it the way I loved 3. I'm gonna have to replay the original again sometime, that game was a classic. I don't have a next gen console, so I haven't played too much of 5.

I still have both of them and beat them both.
I liked them a lot.
Portable ops was dope as hell too and I liked how they tied in the story of Frank Jaegar (Cyborg Ninja/Gray Fox)

Metal Gear Solid has definitely had a big impact on my childhood first console game I ever beat as a kid.

Still, need to get around to beating Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid demo kept me coming back


MGS Peace Walker on the PSP was great.


Finally beat MGS4( Shadow Moses nostalgia ) a month ago. Can't believe I thought it was hard years ago lol

I love MGS3, but MGS1 is still my GOAT gaming experience.


That shyt blew my mind.


Turned me all the way the fukk out.


Before that, all I knew was Mario Bros & Madden.


And I only dabbled in those.


I was anti-playstation.


Was still playing Madden on a 16 bit Sega Genesis.


One week I got sick and didn't go to school for like 3 straight days.


My boy was a knucklehead who used to ditch school all the time.Even in grade school.


He brought over a PS he stole from somebody with the MGS demo.


Left it at my house.....I wore that shyt out over those 3 days


Whole presentation/ambiance of the game had me


Ended up buying the full game when it dropped....it went beyond my wildest expectations.


I don't call a lot of shyt "classic", but that game was the classic of all classsics

MGS1 and 3 are classics. A beautiful marriage of cinematography and gameplay.

Oh how I wish MGS5 had more of that.

The absolute GOAT. I still don't like 5. It only had 3 or 4 cool moments in 40+ hours and didn't feel like a MGS game
