They'll pay for it for the Azure/Intune integration.

Being able to quickly and securely provision devices based on enterprise security policies is a big deal.
Bro. Do you really fall for business to business press releases? Our product x will integrate with product y. It's all playing nice with each other in case it works out.

Just think about it from a practical perspective. People are really going to put on A headset, boot it up to log in and then go into a VR chatroom? It's annoying. The US barely adapted paying with NFC which is actually convenient. But you're trying to convince me that companies are going to spend money on headsets because it's safer. :mjlol:

If companies cared about security they wouldn't lay off IT departments. Zuck had his impact with MAGA Facebook, don't think he can do it again

All it will take us for escorts to use it
People aren't gonna pay $1500 for a Facebook/M$ Teams substitute with more steps. Companies for damn sure ain't gonna pay that price when they could fly their CEOs 1st class to be wined and dined.

Zuck think he can redefine Social Media twice. They can't even outdo Tik Tok.
Facebook whole premise was for hooking up In a subtle way. Then it became a popularity contest to see who can have the most friends. All it will take is to have some attractive women to use it and then it will grow. It's that predictable. Sprinkle on a few celebrities everyone will follow

Do you work with business people or do you just read headline and think it applies to everyone? Look up business conventions in your city and tell me that VR meetings has replaced in person business. Just like the mail would, just like the phone would, just like Zoom would. VR won't replace meetings.
Oh now we've moved the goalposts I see. A second ago you were talking about CEO's getting wined and dined so flippantly. And now you are talking about conventions. Which aren't even close to the same thing. Then you are asking if I've seen them using technology, specifically tailored for business like zoom meetings, that was just announced a couple of days ago? I mean c'mon. Why are you even arguing about this? What's your goal here? Just to win an internet argument? You're not even making any sense? You're pathetic.

But to answer your question. Yes. That's what I do. I work with business people. Which is the reason I replied with first hand knowledge to begin with. And to be specifically clear. CEO's aren't usually the ones that get "wined and dined". They don't have to. That's not even a perk for them. You think Darren Woods or Michael Wirth is swayed by a steak dinner at Del Friscos? You think that seals some deal as they pop open a 20 year old red? Some of yall get all your knowledge of the world from movies I swear. :mjlol:

The bolded is just a lack of self awareness, you originally quoted me.

But You can believe CEOs / regular salesmen won't be taken out to dinners because they're gonna be on Teams and Meta all you want.

Just because I quoted you, doesn't mean you have to reply. When you don't know something, just shut the fukk up, nod your head and accept the knowledge being bestowed upon you, and move on. You are actually arguing about something you CLEARLY have no idea about. And most salesmen nowadays aren't the ones being taken to dinner. They cold call all day AND hold zoom meetings when they can finally get someone to not hang up on them. They aren't scheduling expensive lunches for people on the chance that someone that holds a company credit card at some company will swing by, listen to their sales pitch, and then give them a maybe. That's the kind of shyt that happens in some fantasy world that you've made up in your head.

Ok fine. You know everything. I'll ignore what I see everyday because you work in one company that is the standard for all others. Ill ignore the corporate cards, itemizing, travel and "legitimate" work expenses. Thanks for enlightening me. You are the illumination we all need in this world of darkness.

Honestly, I don't think VR is ever going to be a must have. Meta is really investing and going all in on this, but I think eventually, they will shift their focus more on AR with reasonable applications and wearables that more people will use.

With AR, you already know everyone has a phone. Smart glasses is what is going to make things interesting, but not for VR, in the AR world.

But Zuck... keep spending that money homie
:ehh:

Right. Not until we get that Sword Art Online. lol.

Do you know what a corporate card is actually used for? What does itemizing have to do with what we are talking about? You said wining and dining CEO's and salesmen. What does legitimate work expenses have to do with that? Throwing out what you THINK are corporate buzzwords doesn't prove your point. So don't get pissy and all in a huff because I won't acquiesce to your nonsense. As far as me working for ONE company. I actually don't. I have a main job and I have my own business where I consult for midsize companies in a similar role to what I do in my day to day, which is a perfect fit for me because I can have a lot of similar plates spinning without having to divide my attention across too many different disciplines at one time.

Any other assumptions you wish to let spill out of your face?
