Spousal support and Alimony are the same thing and are only paid where there are extreme disappointment amount of earning during the marriage (wife or husband is a stay at home spouse).

Show me the data that says women come out significantly better out from divorce. that is a straight up lie.

In a normal marriage both spouses are putting together their incomes to acquire assets that couldn't be acquired on a single income. Going from living off 2 incomes to 1 does not = being better off.

The kids CAN happen without marriage, but they very often happen AFTER the fact and are therefore one of the most common issues addressed in a divorce proceeding.
