This is true for most of the USA. People don't want to be police officers because it's a shytty job. On top of that, crime is up. Down here in Houston, they lowered the college credit requirement and they don't look at credit reports anymore. You can get in just by being employed anywhere for the past 3 years, even if it wasn't another police department or military service. It's telling that a job can pay well over 100k a year after just a few years in but they can't get enough people to sign up.
Whats shytty about being an officer besides the dumb shyt officers do that makes them unpopular?

The MFD is pushing against the narrative thrown against them they feel that they’re being thrown under the bus along with the Police Department. They kind of do have a point as they were going by what the officers told them who we’re obviously lying to cover themselves.

I could totally believe they used their position to control the situation.

Nah that's completely on MFD. At the minimum, they needed to check his injuries, blood pressure, and heart rate. The needed to check his airway to make sure he was getting adequte oxygen. Standard protocol and separate from anything that the police said onscene. Just think about it, nobody needs to go to the hospital from getting peppered sprayed. The effect would have been worn off by the time he got to the hospital. They basically just showed up, saw that he was fukked up, and called an ambulance. They are called first responders for a reason. Complete negligence.

Here's the article for full transparency. This is the first time I can remember MFD being involved in this type of negative situation, so that's the only reason I'm willing to give them the benefit of a doubt compared to the Police Department who people have complained about for years.

They don't want to be lumped in along with them and I don't necessarily blame them.

I'd say the fact they are universally hated no matter who they are. There are actually some good cops that want to make a change and help their communities. Then there are also some fukk nikkas like that ones that got caught in Memphis. Plenty of cops on the streets now that should be locked up. It's to the point now that nobody wants to do the job even though it's the quickest way to a 6 figure salary. The amount of stress and drama that comes with the job is not worth it for more people. That's why cities are lowering requirements and throwing money at it.

They could always band together to get the garbage cops off the force. But then they are worried about retaliation. I have family on the force and we've had this convo(no I am not about to say where he works). They know about sucky cops but his whole long spiel to me came down to this : rotten or not they are family and you don't rat out or seek out retribution on family. I get it but they get no sympathy from me.

It's obviously easier to quit. Guess that means more maniacs on the force. :francis:

So standing around chilling and exchanging high fives while a man’s obviously BASHED IN HEAD bleeds onto the ground is standard protocol?

Bullshyt, burn the whole department down along with the police force and start over. They have zero point. They were either complicit or 100% retarded to NOT see the man was in severe distress

So called “Good” Cops keep the blue wall of silence alive and well. Why do you think there almost a DOZEN other officers who weren’t even present for Tyre Nichols murder under serious investigation? It was all going to be COVERED UP and SWEPT UNDER the rug.

STOP with this “good cop” bullshyt. The SYSTEM is corrupt and therefore the majority of cops working within it are rotten as well. And until the SYSTEM is completely overhauled and painstakingly rebuilt, the problems will remain.

And as long as the problems remain no cops deserve the trust of the populace at large, especially the BLACK populace.

Like I said I avoid these threads & been stopped lookin at the body cam videos. This story is foul on multiple fronts.
1. The “code of blue” gonna let these bozos burn since they aren’t edomites
2. “Blk cop showin out for the white cop” but 5 & not one edomite in sight?!?!!
3. When are police across the country gonna get regulations? Up the level to FBI level qualifications or have their unions implement new standards ASAP.
