That white officer needs to be charged as well and the more that comes out about him, the more it looks bad on CJ Davis for not firing him from the jump along with the other officers.

The fact that he had two personal handcuffs of his own bring up even more questions :jbhmm:
Its obvious she cares more about her makeup and shopping at expensive stores for handbags then she ever did about the conduct of her subordinates she was in charge of. Da broad is patently useless

Those 5 fools are about to do some hard ass time. Any day now i think they are going to snatch those fools bonds. The prosecutors are not looking into their past cases just to have stuff to do. Any other cops that hung out and did dirt with those 5 fools might need to get lawyers, because the State and Feds are about to be all over the MPD.

these fakkits were just low life pieces of shyt, ESPECIALLY this Haley goofy :snoop:

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Years before Memphis Police officer Demetrius Haley pulled Tyre Nichols from his car on Jan. 7, setting in motion a deadly confrontation, Haley was accused of taking part in the savage beating of an inmate at the Shelby County jail.

The 2015 assault of the inmate was so disturbing that 34 others - the entire cellblock - signed a letter to the corrections director.

“We are truly asking that this matter gets looked into before someone gets hurt really bad or lose their life because of some unprofessional officers,” the letter stated.

The warning from dozens of inmates is the clearest indication yet that one of the officers who took part in the violent beating of Nichols had an event in his past that should have raised concerns before he was hired as a police officer.

The letter asks how the inmates are supposed to feel “safe and secure when the staff members at the Shelby County Correctional Center are assaulting and threatening us?”

It concludes, “Please put a stop to this madness.”

Shelby County did not respond to a request Friday seeking information about its investigation into the beating allegations, so it is unclear if Haley was disciplined or cleared of the assault. An email was sent Friday to a police spokesperson asking if the department knew about the incident when Haley was hired.

The former officer has been charged with second-degree murder in Nichols' death, along with ex- officers Tadarrius Bean, Desmond Mills Jr., Emmitt Martin III and Justin Smith. All the officers except Bean have infractions in their work records. Policy violations include using minor physical force during an arrest and failing to fill out a form about it; failing to report a domestic violence situation; and a car crash, records show.

The prior accusations against Haley came to light because the inmate, Cordarlrius Sledge, filed a federal lawsuit in 2016 against him. It was ultimately dismissed on procedural grounds, because Sledge had failed to file a grievance with the jail.

Haley continued to work for the Division of Corrections until hired by Memphis Police in 2020, at a time when the department was lowering its standards for recruits in an attempt to fill vacancies. According to records in his personnel file, a previous application to the police department was rejected, but the reason for that rejection is blacked out.

i still haven't seen this video and cannot bring myself to watch it. i was reading a report of how Memphis was so hard pressed for numbers on the street, they were hiring ANYBODY just for the numbers. policing in America isn't about putting the best/mentally/physically fit cop on the street, its just about building a fukking army.

Its a horrific video and I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE who has the slightest trepidation to watch it.

And yes they WERE hiring any and everybody to fill a quota. Everybody involved in those decisions should be OUT OF A JOB and blackballed from ever working for law enforcement

Yeah I'm still shook. I tell everybody to steer clear of it. Most listened to me.

This is true for most of the USA. People don't want to be police officers because it's a shytty job. On top of that, crime is up. Down here in Houston, they lowered the college credit requirement and they don't look at credit reports anymore. You can get in just by being employed anywhere for the past 3 years, even if it wasn't another police department or military service. It's telling that a job can pay well over 100k a year after just a few years in but they can't get enough people to sign up.

You are operating at the same low frequency that the poster who mentioned fraternal affiliation was.

Think you both find it hard accepting the reality of these individuals doing what they did. Your unwillingness to do that has you searching for angle/scapegoat/deflection.

It doesn't exist.
How is that low frequency? Please explain it old woke and wise black righteous teacher. His question was how are those officers not tapped into the consciousness of the black community after all of the shyt we've seen and continue to see black people go thru at the hands of the police.
