No Tommie Frazier mention?

….these Gator fans have a hard time bringing up Tommie The Don without having nightmarish flashbacks

Kidding, of course. Just a little friendly competitive banter…Lord knows the Miami Hurricane fans (as well as Oklahoma Sooner fans) can say the same thing about US. :heh:

:aicmon:you should all be ashamed of yourselves for letting this thread go this long w/o a mention of

I swore he was gonna be THAT nikka in the league. Even with all the off field trouble

YESSIR! That’s my G.O.A.T. delinquent idiot RB:

…could have been arguably one of the greatest college backs of all time, and then basically destroyed his NFL prospects with pure knuckleheadedness.

Y’all remember when he tried to run the lil kids over with his Benz after an argument over a pickup football game? :snoop:

Okay okay...

We got a COUPLE cats up there...but usually, when you come from the U, you perform on the big stage, and there's NO argument against that...

Y'all wrong for Jacory, dude didn't even make it to the league SMH, still liked the kid.

yeah, we got a few forgettable QBs, but Brock is good in my book, you Gaytors and Semenholes are understandably mad...

:laff:....You dug deep on this one.

He was a beast in college.

Another example of why you should turn pro when your stock is high.

Dude is one of the top 5 college Safeties I've seen since I started watching College football.....So that goes back about 20 years

I had to man, and agreed totally with your description of him. He was something else on that D (I believe Patrick Kerney was there as well). Also, that era UVA unis might have been the hottest ish I've ever seen on a college football team. I posted Jarrett Irons earlier, and between the 2 of them I thought we were gonna the next era's Singletary / Lott, but boy was I wrong. :ld:

However, if Poindexter never shreds his knee, I could easily see the scenario where the rankings of the best S of the 2000s being

1. Reed
2. Poindexter
3. Polamalu
4. Dawkins
5. Wilson

AP was that good.

Having said that, I give you the man who was born to be the face and spokesman of this thread. A man who earned not 1, but 2 Heisman Trophies, and left zero legacy as an NFL back. Not bad enough to call him a complete bust (and curiously was drafted at the end of the 1st round), but who's career as a pro back doesn't even belong in the same zip code as his college career. I give you:
