Our best athletes don't normally stick with wrestling if they do it. Money isn't there. The chance of college scholarships are definitely there, but most kids unless you really love wrestling, you're not sticking with it if you have other possibilities.
That translates to this level/sports entertainment. Not 1 for 1. But it's there. A guy like Trick Williams looks like a natural pro wrestler. Think about what would have happened if Trick was just slightly better as a football player. We either never see him in wrestling, or he comes in 5 years too late.
The NIL era will likely change that. As more guys who have athleticism/personality, but can't likely make a run in their sport of choice likely really look at these WWE offers.
