What I don’t understand on this site is this push/nitpicking of biracial identification of blackness when there are plenty of black people who you do not have to squint to find out if they are black.
But you guys stay diagnosing the level of blackness of women especially who already stray from ethnic looking blackness.
After all is said and done what does it achieve?? What purpose does it advance and how does it push forward black people who can’t look ambiguous or have one foot in and out in society.
The claim that biracial are treating like blacks has been debunked many times over. Biracial have never been treated like non ambiguous black people and history supports it. Someone who looks like Meghan/Halsey/terry crewe wife, etc...has never and will never navigate this world like an Oprah/Vivica Fox/Gabrielle union.
And even whites still berate biracials for their part blackness, they still give them more opportunities get more leeway than your non biracial black arse. Asians are considered model minority don’t mean that they are considered on the same level of white people.

Under Jim Crow law someone was considered legally black with as little as 1/8th black ancestry. And if you were considered legally black that meant you were subject to legalized discrimination as a second class citizens.
In America there were no mixed or light skin communities. There was the black neighborhood and the white neighborhood. So regardless of how much you want to act like light skin black people were treated differently than dark skin black people, American history says otherwise.

His mother being black is a fact. And under US law during the days of Jim Crow he would be classified as black as well as his children if he had them with a white woman. Also during slavery he would still be a slave and not free regardless of how white he looked.
