anyone who says Nas should be the 1994 pick is telling on themselves

Meth ruled nyc right before Biggie took over

This is why I hate when once popular rappers become actors. People start to forget or not acknowledge

I thought we was just keeping it Hip Hop? Mary had the R&B crown for majority of the 90’s, yes. But I thought we speaking just on the rappers. Grand Puba had the crown in 92. Honestly, in real time Puba and Treach had it tied for 92 here. But this is a “NY” list so I’ll let y’all cook.

Nas is my favorite of all time but its pretty common knolwedge that he and Illmatic were kinda slept on in 94

If he has a claim to a year its 96 or maybe 01-02 but if y'all didn't give it to Rakim a year in the 80's its clear you ain't going with Nas either lol

You can’t speak on it, if you not of age and not from NY…

So just fall back youngin’

You old nikkas say this dumb shyt and then will shyt on a young nikka for not knowing their history

Is it oochie wally or one mic

Im not a crack baby pimp I have a good memory of my childhood and Nas definitely was not beating Method Man in terms of popularity in 1994. Idgaf about how many people on your block was playing “It Ain’t Hard To Tell”. This is a universal conversation
