Yeah. MOM is considered a flop given it's bridge and importance to thr future of the MCU.
Film should be well over 1B by now.
It was just a bad and corny movie. MOM was supposed to be heavily talked about the entire summer but most are forgetting that it came out.
Welp of course @AnonymityX1000 gonna argue that point but yes it was supposed to run the Summer. instead Top Gun 2 stole all the glory
Timeout. You two really felt a Doctor Strange movie would make a billion dollars? I don't see that. At all. And I doubt Disney/Marvel saw that. The first one didn't come anywhere close to that and that was pre pandemic. "Importance" in a larger story doesn't dictate how well these movies do; its about the character, and the cultural moment. A Doctor strange movie is still about...doctor strange. there is a ceiling there on how much money that movie will gross, regardless of what anyone on the internet believes.
People thought everybody and they mama will be in this movie. We thought it was gonna be cameos galore. Professor x, rumors of Tom cruise as iron man, blade, Wolverine, Deadpool, etc. And it was just coming off the heels of spider-man no way home. It's not a shock why everyone thought this would make a billion or more.Timeout. You two really felt a Doctor Strange movie would make a billion dollars? I don't see that. At all. A movie making 900+ Million (especially a Dr. Strange movie) is not a “flop”. Flop gets used waaay too much. At the end of the day the movie was very profitable which is what every studios aim is. It may have not been a home run like No Way Home, but that’s Spiderman (arguable the most famous comic book character period).People thought everybody and they mama will be in this movie. 'People', who is that but uber comic book nerds watching every Cosmic Wonder, Emergency Awesome video and taking every rumor as fact? That's like less than 5% of the audience.People thought everybody and they mama will be in this movie. We thought it was gonna be cameos galore. lol I know breh. Maybe that was A bit of a stretch, but the rumblings were still out there.this movie was suppose to be balls to the wall, atleast that's how it was being promoted. I mean it's even in the damn title. Yet we only got like 5 cameos. Ehh....I never thought Tom Cruise/Iron Man, Blade, Wolverine, and Deadpool were going to be in it

I didn't want to buy into the whole "M-She-U" nerdosphere talk, but damn...every male character in every show, is either a simp, needs help from a broad or both. And then there's the bait and switching....phase 4 just looks horrible right now.
