Harlem
two of the waviest low post scorers of all time.
I still be like:ooh: when see replays of hakeem shytting on Drob.

Drob was a beast and a HOFamer in his prime. :snoop:
Hakeem made him look like a clown so many times.

Shaq is the only other dude i personally saw who did that to other quality centers. but that was on some beastly i'm bigger and stronger than type ish. seeing hakeem vs shaq was like power vs skill. skill always won but barely

:rudy:Are you serious?

Took Amare and Bron 7+ years b4 they decide to act they size and learn how to score in the paint... rookies and sophs should be trainin under these guys not veterans

Durant the same size and similar build as McHale... u see Durant steppin inside the paint an dominating like McHale? I dont have a problem with big men shootin and usin outside game - but damnit learn to get inside and torch the D with some post moves when ur shot aint workin, it will add so much more dimension to the game. Bigs today are too soft on offense they wanna avoid physical play and shoot J's all day and bring the ball up the floor like guards. Big men should always be able to fall back on size and play big - but u gotta learn how its done. Big man post-play is at an all time low in this league, think I'm wrong? the most skilled post player in the league is a 34 year old 6-6 shooting guard. :upsetfavre:

Al and Bynum both have better post games than Mamba, and last I checked Tim Duncan hadn't retired yet.

I blame AAU ball more than anything else, all these kids want to show off that they can also play on the perimeter. If they just realized that a post game will take them further @ their size than a handle and 3 pointer ever would, we'd see more throwbacks. There are still some very skilled big men in the post, Luis Scola, Gasols, Al Jefferson, Duncan, but the absolute best athletes at the 4/5 have rudimentary post games.

Have you seen this kid yet?

Really advanced post moves for his age, not the best athlete but he's getting better.

I was referring to the Versus aspect.

@NYC Rebel: :childplease: He wasn't beasting on Hakeem no more than Hakeem was beasting on him during that series. In Hakeem 2nd year, he lead the Rockets in scoring in the Finals. Hakeem had 24.7 and Mchale had 25.8 but Hakeem beat him in every other category

Im exaggeratin a bit to make a point. Big men in the L don't exploit back to the basket potential like I think they should when they should (early... not half way into a career...). Maybe im being harsh but I'm just seein too many Blake Griffin's, Amare Stoudemires, KD's and Lebron's in this L... big's that all wanna rely on forward skill like drives and dunks and jumpers and these guys wait years before they decide to develop back to basket skill

McHale didnt come in as the main scorer for his team though.
