So True. I also told breh on how to make a smashburger for cheap(just make the burgers really flat), and the cook time is like 4-5 minutes AT most. Breh thought I was Gordon Ramsey for telling him this.
I ain't knockin' all fast food, and for myself -- as a non-picky single dude who knows how to coupon and doesn't have expensive taste -- my budget is within 10-25% of break-in difference(I'll spend like $4 for materials for a dinner at the grocery store or I can bring a 5er and get something at a fast food joint), but a lot of people aren't flexible at all.
I know breh's who are spending 15-20 bucks on ordering food out per day, and then complaining about not having money. They act like telling them to eat some homemade sandwiches to save money is like telling a normal person to lick jars of nearly empty peanut butter instead of buying a new jar.
An example: I have a decently run BK that's full of competent employees and the food is made to order. I use the BK app to get a whooper meal for 5 dollars; the person in front of me pays retail and it's almost 9 dollars for the SAME exact meal.
Dig it, I cook every Sunday and while I always do it with the intention of taking lunch. I rarely take it. Lunch in the cafeteria usually runs about 7-8.50 so its not terribly expensive. But I can actually cook and enjoy doing so. Just don't cook in the middle of the week, I might do a light salad or leftovers for dinner. But lunch is always a toss up. But that save money shyt is real breh. Me and my wife did it just to see for like 2 months and we looking at 2-300 extra month just from eating directly from home........but we didn't stick with it.......life got in the way......and we were back to our old habits before long.
