He didn't have the career Cube, Eazy or Dre did. however, Ren's Kizz My Black Azz album went platinum. His 2nd joint went gold too. I think he's had a pretty damn decent solo career. It's just a shame how they're treating the mane right now, tho.

And when cube left, he carried that entire 2nd album..shyt, that 2nd album is better than their debut.

I'm not so sure about their second album being better than their first but Ren def is nice and was very intergral to the success of N.W.A. But it's was well know that Dre, Cube & Eazy (mainly Eazy) were going to be the focal point of this movie. i can understand being upset but lashing out on twitter over a movie that hasn't even debuted yet is a little overkill don't you think? Again Ren is nice but this movie is really about the events leading up to the groups disbandment and Eric's untimely death.

The dumbest thing is that adding Ren and Yella's name would just add what, an extra 1-2 seconds to the trailer? I understand Cube, Dre, and Easy are the big three - similar to how Bono and The Edge are the big two in U2. Or how John and Paul will always be bigger than George and Ringo. But this still feels wack to me. Cube and Dre are sitting pretty on millions - billions in Dre's case. They can't give the other dudes some shine, just this once, for the movie?

Cube was more charismatic, not better IMO.

Don't get me wrong...Cube > Ren when it comes to GOAT conversation obviously. Cube is top 10.

His voice was more dynamic, but if we talking about flows, lyrics and laying blueprints for other rappers Ren is vastly underrated. His style was kinda east coast to me and had a couple more layers of complexity to it than what Cube was doing back then, but it takes more than that to branch out and dominate as a solo act.

White America and mainstream America are interchangeable. The producers want to turn a profit so they will go with known people.

Trailers are supposed to draw you to the theater. Ren isn't a draw. If anything he will benefit from people seeing the film and having some minor understanding of who he is.

DOC is a rapper that was signed to ruthless and wrote a lot of lyrics for Eazy/Dre.. had a classic solo album and then got into a car crash that ruined his voice so he never rapped again but kept ghost writing.. he was also the nikka that brought Suge to the fold and left for death row with Dre, Snoop credits him for being his teacher

CPO is a group that was under MC Ren, not necessarily relevant to the NWA story as a group, moreso to MC Ren as a solo artist
