Ren was the better rapper by far. Production goes along way. Ren album had weak production. It was clear he didn't have the funds to get production from Sir Jinx, DJ Pooh, or DJ Quik like Cube.
ren album did not have weak production.
it features one of the hardest rap songs.
in the history of all rap ever fukk'n made on it in the alley, nikka.
plus, every record on there.
is like a nod and ode to soc.
while, still being in ren's more technical but accessible style.
ren, was basically as good vocally as rakim and just as solid a technical skilled emcee could actually ever really be.
especially when, graded by the dumbed down marks.
given to allow standard westcoast gangsta rap to be given note.
if, we judgin ren on that level of gangsta rap.
ren, is the super saiyan level.
no other cali gangsta rapper has and will never get to.
or be in THEIR fukk;N LIFE.
OR, ALL OF CALI WEST COAST HIPHOP IN THE fukk'N FUTURE!
what are you saying,...
only reason ren did not resonate as large as cube artistically.
is because ren was in nwa and nwa was culturally out of there and boycotted.
yet, and still ren still did his due regardless.
plus, he has the only ruthless release post cube.
that is regarded and given a pass culturally at that time.
yet, the damage was done by association and ren's solo career was collateral damage.
in the same vein that doc, and all of nwa/rutheless were after that.
it is like why people ask why artist like quik to scc, to atl were not propped.
they were out of there culturally, and boycotted and rightfully so.
ren, is like the only collateral damage given a full real pass culturally.
plus, the only real cultural gangsta rapper who never sold out, culturally.
including, the only guy to actually say that the west coast was buggin.
for saying negative shyt abou the east and particularly krs one, too.
then, saying that all the west coast was nuffin but criminal minded over and over again, and to stop hating on the real that gave them the real.
so, real talk,...
nwa owes any cultural and credible talk they have solely on ren remaining true.
real fukk'n talk...
if not for fukk'n mtv pandering and fake re-writing history.
there would be no nwa to speak of, and ren,...
ren, would be the only one talked about on a cultural.
or, even rap skill basis, period.
cube and dre the one's living that lie, culturally off the back of propaganda and mtv/pr spin jobs and bullshyt.
culturally, ren is all that nwa has actually left, for real, for real.
oh,..and for you motherfukkers that be dissing eminem.
then, got the nerve to even say a word about gangsta rap.
man, eminem singlehandidly saved gangsta rap for westcoast people by even signing to dre.
so, i hope you don't get it twisted and try to say dre gave em cred.
when, em gave dre cred and out of the cultural sellout and drawing grave yard.
as culturally, there may have never been another cultural gangsta rap submission.
or any attention paid to any one not closely related to.
an mca based artist from a pop stand point as a draw.
so, i hope the eminem fukk'n hate stops to.
especially if you ass listen to anything talking about any gangsta content, at all.
you can't diss eminem and say you like gangsta rap.
as he is the reason you got the mtv resurgence of gangsta rap on your television that created the added spike to give you the accesibility to find what they put out for you to like.
without em,..none of you standard gangsta rap fans.
are getting what you have been marketed to like.
