Technology is gonna eat up everything.

If you ain't preparing or making predictions and adjustments for the future..... you're going to be in trouble.

This is way bigger than just some nikkas flippin burgers..... everybody's industry will be swallowed up by technology if it hasn't already.

Luckily my industry has already been swallowed up by technology and its actually been a benefit.

But most people will be in trouble.

Get ready.

not the education field :blessed:

Folks love to talk that shyt about how these low skill jobs were NEVER meant to pay a reasonable or livable wage but how the fukk is that when just a few decades ago, people worked these jobs and were able to support whole families or pay their way through college? Sometimes doing both at the same time......

If your bullshyt reasoning against a fair min wage is that these jobs were "never supposed to be careers" and therefore SHOULDN'T pay higher wages then it definitely all falls apart when you look at the things people working these jobs were at one time able to do as opposed to now. People working at McDonald's (and many other fast food joints, or in retail, etc) were once able to afford a modestly sized apartment AND utilities along with an ability to feed themselves and have a small bit of cash leftover.
These are entry-level jobs that are not supported by mid-level jobs. I'm not sure what you're arguing here because entry-level jobs were never meant to be a career.

There are plenty of strong arguments for the increase of the minimum wage (most notably keeping up with inflation), but I'm not sure the argument you're making is the best.

ppl will still need to bag and wrap the food and bring it to you. Calm down. Machines are good a monotonous tasks like flipping burgers but they still lack dexterity to move around effectively.

I cant get (entirely) with this automated shyt, not entirely related but oyu know how many times i call a company 1-800 number only to deal with some automated shyt. :stopitslime:

Its especially worst when your query doesnt fit in with the prompts :noah:

have me mashing zero through the whole thing hoping itll give up and transfer me a real human :blessed:
This is the balance that has to be struck

Silicon Valley thinks tech can solve every problem but ultimately there are some things humans can still do better (i.e. drive) or things people just want other people for (sit down restaurant service, tech support etc)

And even for this shyt.... some people are just not tech savvy.... you would be a fool to replace all the kiosks at a McDonalds near a retirement community for example. There are HELLA old people who don't wanna deal with this shyt

So it has to be done smart

I dont use any automated kiosks anywhere if I don’t have to. Since I’m payin my money then I want service...And if they have just kiosks open as registers, like they sometimes do st Walmart when I go, then if the shyt don’t ring up the first time it still gets bagged :manny:

If I’ma ring my shyt up and bag it then I might as well give myself a discount. It’s a sale every time I go thru that bytch :WeRich:
Yoo... muthafuka...:russ::russ::mjlol:..
fukk all of the other social economic intelligent shyt everybody else is talking.
This is the best post right here...
got me looking stupid, laughing loud and shot lmao:lolbron:

these kiosks aren't replacing any cashiers because companies were just leaving registers unmanned and forcing you to wait in long lines, can't replace something you weren't ever providing.

They use everify at fast food locations... They have to be legal residents (born here, naturalized, or with a tax ID MAYBE).
The bay is a sancuary city, so who knows who is faking and who is really naturalized.

Crime rate in this country will be insane in another 10-15 years.

Doubt it. Crime Rate has been on a constant downward trend the last 50 years, despite what you see on social media.

I think you may see an uptick of copycat type crimes, for social media fame. But overall, crime has been going down.

Ok... so these machines in Mcds have been up in md/del area for awhile now.. ill say a year.
I guess they told the cashiers to push ppl toward the machines because thats what it was all heading to, so get the customers acclimated.
I dnt really fukk wit fast food like that, (except chik fil a:lolbron:)...
but i might stop in Mcds for some shyt, from time to time.
Most ppl, including myself are on the kiosks for a min... and i have a problem seeing how this would work in highly populated areas... u could have a couple kiosks and the employees to help get ppl in and out quicker. but eliminating the employees completely will be their downfall... ppl would just stop fukking wit it... ppl want their unhealthy shyt fast

facts, there’s a chick fil a That is always packed with old people, I’m sure that place would cease to exist if they replaced cashiers with Kiosk in there.
