I'm starting to believe him about him being calculated. I doubt he really thinks he's the best, I think he knows how to sell himself. Even in an interview before the fight. He said he wanted to go down as "one of the best" I think all that TBE shyt is just for marketing purposes.

Clinching is a part of strategy. Strong fighters with good inside game punish clinching and can direct it into knockouts and points. But compared to May, PAC is simply not strong enough or talented enough inside to dictate and punish Floyd's clinching. PAC had many chances to hit, stagger and beat May weather in the center and on the ropes. But Pac missed his punches, ate jabs, ate hooks, etc. Pac looked slow and stupid against May.

I just saw an article about the fighters who landed the least on Floyd, and its a list of all the "boogey men" his haters said would beat him or that he was afraid of.....JMM, Zab, Shane, Pac, ODLH, Cotto all on the list....he's made his contemporaries look average at levels unseen before.

pernell will always be the GOAT, but floyd can have 2nd best. no shame in being behind whitaker. the way pernell could literally stand right in front of his opponents without moving his feet one inch and still not get touched was astonishing. you know you're insane when you make your opponents bust out laughing in embarrassment....he was leaving these dudes in complete amazement.

And to be honest and surprised to say, I think Pac didnt even "peak" May's defense. I'm surprised how May made it look so easy.

IMO May's fights with Maidana were better feats of his defense. Pacman really was a let down.
