Can't make a proper prediction until I see what the undercard is. I have a feeling they might try and stack it to get them PPV numbers up.Anyone wanna predict PPV numbers for the rematch?

Yeah if they have a legit undercard and not some bullshyt prelim tuneup fights then it will increase interest. If they add Broner vs Matthysse, that's a hell of a start.
He's not getting KOd breh.. Maidana already been exposed and everyone should now be aware of how he was tampering with the padding in his gloves sp he could hurt his opponent much easier
How did he tamper with the gloves when the actual gloves were brought to the arena by the Everlast rep???
But Im eager to hear your explanation for Floyd NOT wanting Maidana to use the OTHER pair of gloves that actually did pass inspection and were approved, which were puncher gloves mind you, and instead paying Maidana an extra $1.5 million to use the pillow gloves
The edit was my own typing, not from Dan. Added it in case anyone didn't know that there were 3 pairs of gloves discussed for the fight, I think a lot of people think Maidana wanted the white gloves and those were the one Mayweather paid to not have worn...but the white ones were disallowed by the commission and they approved a a second pair of stock gloves (red) - which I believe were the same gloves Mayweather allowed Cotto to wear in their fight. Mayweather disagreed with those and paid the 1.5 milly to get Maidana to wear the even more padded Black gloves he wore on fight night. Why did you bold that part, and not the edit?
Either way, any issues with gloves should be sorted out during negotiations, not the night before the damn fight
He's talking bout the original gloves Maidana wanted to wear.....the same ones he wore against Broner. Those were the ones that the NSAC didn't approve after Floyd and his team pointed put the severe lack of padding in them.
As far as the rest of your sentence, that's for the Floyd stans to answer
I dont understand the point you're trying to make. So what if Everlast presented them to Floyds camp.. those gloves came from maidana camp and the original ones had been tampered withYea, and the original gloves Maidana was gonna wear WERENT brought by him. The Everlast rep brought them! A rep from the company of the gloves always brings the gloves to the weigh in to be inspected by the teams.
another factor is that Floyd is up there in age. Seen a lot of good fighters "get old over night" in a fight that would've been easier for them a year ago.The rematch is compelling if for no other reason than the surprise factor going out the window. Maidana has seen Floyd's speed and defense now. Unlike the other guys, who were guessing and underestimated Floyd, Maidana knows from experience. It'll be interesting to see how he adjusts. And since we saw Maidana start to fade, he knows he has to bring more energy and keep busy for all 12 rounds.
On the other side, it'll be interesting to see if Floyd starts slow like he usually does. He figured Maidana out, made the adjustments, and controlled the 2nd half of the first fight. Does he come out with that style or will he take the wait and see approach again? Will it be like Castillo 2, where Floyd kept his distance and simply outboxed him? Or will he keep standing in there?
