Floyd needs to let him wear his gloves this time:manny:

He had Maidana fighting in some big gloves instead of the ones he wanted or even the ones Cotto used (which WERE approved by the NSAC).

If Maidana wins with his gloves (a knockout is way more likely). This nikka would immediately be the GOAT, Floys legacy would look :flabbynsick: , and Manny vs Marcos would do 3.5 mill :pachaha:

If Maidana fought in COTTO's gloves that Mayweather also refused to let him fight in, even after the commission approved them, the fight could've been a little different as well.

Floyd's gonna be on the move the entire fight this time though, like he did starting in round 6 of the last time, so Maidana is gonna have to chase him.

In Tarver vs Jones 2 Roy was beating him easy and then that huge punch changed boxing. Will Chino get lucky? I doubt it if he's wearing big gloves. I think Floyd is gonna get a ref that will be hard on Maidana

I hope its my nikka Kenny. Kenny aint no chump or p*ssy. Hed tell floyd to shut up :mjlol:

Exactly.

Like I said, if Maidana (who I had winning 5 rounds even with the bigger gloves) were able to wear HIS gloves like he did against Broner or even COTTO's gloves, which were approved for him to wear by the NSAC (but Floyd still wouldnt let him wear them), the fight could've been a little different.

I had Floyd winning 115-113, but a draw wouldnt have been surprising to me, nor would Floyd winning 116-112. HOWEVER, Maidana could've possibly won another round with different gloves which would've made the fight in my mind 114-114 or a toss-up for either as the winner:manny:

The commission approved the gloves, Not that cheating shyt he was doing with the padding and got caught... Yea it could've been very different had that nikka not got caught cheating.. As much as I talk shyt about Floyd and his hoeness, It would've been a damn shame for Floyd to suffer a loss against that cheating bum...

Did they ever confirm the first fight's PPV numbers?
875k ish....which is why I will believe the rematch happens when it officially gets announced, since the first fight was a success in the rings, but financially was considered a disappointment.

floyd in 2010

"I'm on vacation for about a year, about a year," Mayweather said. "As soon as we come off vacation, we're going to cook that little yellow chump. We ain't worried about that. So they ain't gotta worry about me fighting the midget. Once I kick the midget ass, I don't want you all to jump on my d---. So you all better get on the bandwagon now. ... Once I stomp the midget, I'll make that mother f----- make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice."

"At this particular time I don't know if I'm gonna fight again," Mayweather said. "As of right now, I truly believe I am gonna fight again, but as of right now I don't have the urge to get up. But when I do got the urge to get up, believe me my UStream and my Twitter fans will be the first to know, and when we do come back, we will kick 'Poochiao' ass. So I'll let the fans know. Don't worry, we'll kick 'Poochiao' ass. He's gonna take the urine and blood test."

Floyd vs Maidana 2 at Barclay's??

Mayweather-Maidana II headed to Brooklyn?
Mayweather Promotions is in the final stages of receiving a promoter’s license from the New York State Athletic Commission according to an article by David Mayo at mlive.com. The company’s CEO Leonard Ellerbe would not confirm Floyd Mayweather’s revelation that Marcos Maidana would be Floyd’s next opponent or that the fight would land at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on September 13!!

They don't call him Money May for nothing, from a business standpoint, it only makes sense. Now twice as many latinos are going to tune in. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I don't think it's gonna do anything crazier than what it already did. With just 2 months to promote the fight, I wouldn't doubt it hitting the same amount of buys or a bit less. At the end of the day, he's taking the fight because there's simply no other options. It would be cool for him to fight in NYC, but overall, what's the selling point...that Maidana made a good effort last time?:yeshrug:
